Two Kwara Pilgrims Die in Saudi Arabia

Two pilgrims from Kwara State on this year’s pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia have reportedly died.

The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Board announced on Sunday the deaths of the two pilgrims who passed away in Madina, Saudi Arabia.

A statement by the Executive Secretary of the Kwara State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abdulsalam Abdulkadir, said: “Saliu Mohammed, who arrived with Batch 3 of the state contingent, died in an intensive care unit of a public hospital in Madina after a brief illness, while Hajia Hawawu Mohammed (Batch 9) also died following what Saudi authorities have investigated and foundation to be an unfortunate suicidal episode from the rooftop of her apartment in Madina.”

The pilgrims’ board said it “deeply regrets the sad events, but submits totally to the decree and ultimate knowledge of Allah in all affairs.”

The reason behind the strange yellow aircraft flying around Ibadan, Oyo State capital and its metropolis has been revealed. Reported earlier that some residents of Ibadan have been in a state of fear and panic, over a strange yellow aircraft flying at a very low level in major areas of the city which has called the attention of the masses. Protesters on Monday morning took to the gate of the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, to express their dissatisfaction over the ongoing economic chaos in the country. Members of the community blocked the institution’s gate, thereby preventing vehicular movement and other activities. A student, who does not want her name mentioned, told the newsmen that as of the time of filing this report, soldiers and Operation Burst officers had arrived the scene.
