The Oyo State Government has called on landed property owners affected by the Circular Road project who have not yet collected their compensation to come forward.
Commissioner for Lands, Housing, and Urban Development, Mr. William Akin-Funmilayo, made the appeal during the disbursement of cheques to the fourth batch of owners in the first section of the project.
During the event, held at the Secretariat, Ibadan, over N200 million naira was disbursed to eligible property owners.
Mr. Akin-Funmilayo, revealed that the state government is still awaiting over 100 property owners to come forward to claim their compensation.
He reaffirmed the government's commitment to transparency and accountability in the process, warning that the names of those yet to show up would be made public.
Beneficiaries of the compensation expressed gratitude to the state government for the gesture, assuring that the funds would be used judiciously.
This disbursement brings the total amount paid out by the state government to over 700 million naira, distributed across four batches of landed property owners affected by the project.
