Ibadan Monarchs Pay Homage to Olubadan Designate, Affirm Support


The Balogun Olubadan Designate, Oba Tajudeen Ajibola, has called on residents of Ibadanland to be law-abiding and security-conscious, emphasising that stricter penalties will be imposed on those who engage in illicit activities, particularly traditional leaders. 

‎Oba Ajibola made the call when he led traditional leaders in Ibadanland to pay homage on Olubadan Designate, Oba Rashidi Ladoja at his Bodija Residence. 

‎The monarch warned that any Mogaji, Baale, or traditional leader found guilty of land grabbing or other crimes that could tarnish the town's image, would face severe consequences, including deposition and prosecution.

‎Oba Ajibola, expressed confidence that Olubadan Designate, Oba Ladoja, would utilize his vast knowledge and experience to drive progress and development in Ibadanland.

‎Also Speaking, Ashipa Designate, Oba Hamidu Ajibade, encouraged Olubadan Designate, Oba Ladoja, to leverage his influence to create more job opportunities for youths and attract investors to the city. 

‎Responding, Oba Ladoja, assured indegenes of their right to own land, advising them to lease rather than sell their landed properties, adding that committee is already investigating reasons behind closure of several industries in the city.

‎At the event attended by Olubadan-in-council, Mogajis, Traditional rulers and Baales, a minute silence was observed in honour of immediate past Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin who joined ancestors in July.
